I am following up to report on the results of the "Networking" session I conducted using your techniques from your book 'When Everyone's a Volunteer. In sum, it went very well. I taught the "Connections" and "Glad Gifts" techniques to the group and we went through them. It worked because I gave "Glad Gifts" and I got several as well! Also, they are now "armed" with some networking tools to take to sue in enhancing their relationships with the other organizations in their community. We also spent time discussing "networking" -- what everyone's image is when they hear that word, why we perceive it as so difficult, etc. I did speak with Susan Ellis at Energize regarding use of your "Code of Behavior for Networking." She said yes. Appropriate credit and copyright information was given on slides, handouts, etc. I reached her right away and she was glad to help.
